At Mercy High School, everyday we have morning pray which helps me understand and have spiritual belief. For some class, we pray before starting the class which also helps me. Even if i am not a christian, I pray for everyone and everything. Since I got here, I got to attend mass once for a month. I'm also participating in choir. I get to know that most of our life is deeply related to Christian, such as calendar, education, science, and even this country, the United States. Things I have learned here help me become a Christian and understand things in the bible. Because I try to understand this religion, I keep getting pretty good grade on Introduction to religion.
As a member of choir, I sing for the church. Through the words, I see what Christian sing for. Also I love the beautiful melodies. We attend several Christian events as well as mass. That brings me joy and makes me feel like I have done something. Whenever I go into a church, I feel overwhelmed. There is something unexplainable.
There is my favorite quote from bible my friends told me, which says 'The pain that you've been feeling, can't compare to the joy that's coming - Romans 8:18.' When she said this, I was having hard time dealing with so many things going on. This biblical expression taught me to keep going and never give up.
